How ORYVANTA collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you visit our website or place an order.

Last updated: 26 October 2026

1. Who we are

ORYVANTA is an online clothing store operated by an independent seller. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy (the “data controller”).

Email: contact.oryvanta@gmail.com. The seller’s legal name and address are given in our Terms of sale.

2. Information we collect

  • Order and contact details: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you provide it at checkout.
  • Order information: the products you buy, sizes, colours, prices, order status and delivery tracking.
  • Payment information: payments are handled by our payment provider, PayPal. We never see or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation of payment and limited details such as the amount and the payer’s name and email.
  • Messages: what you write when you email us or use our contact form (the form opens your own email app and sends the message to our mailbox).
  • Reviews: if you leave a review, your first name, country (optional), size bought, rating and comment, and the email address of your order. We use the email only to check that you bought the piece; it is never published. Once checked, your review is shown publicly with your first name and country.
  • Newsletter: your email address, only if you choose to subscribe.
  • Technical information: your IP address and basic device and browser information, which are processed by the services that host and deliver our website (see section 6).

3. How we use your information

  • To process, ship and deliver your order, including returns and refunds.
  • To send order confirmations and shipping updates.
  • To answer your questions and customer service requests.
  • To publish your review, if you leave one.
  • To prevent fraud and protect our store and customers.
  • To send you our newsletter or offers, only with your consent where the law requires it. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations.

We rely on the following legal grounds: performing our contract with you (your order), our legal obligations, our legitimate interests (for example preventing fraud and improving our website), and your consent (for example the newsletter).

4. Who we share it with

We only share the information needed for each purpose:

  • Payment provider (PayPal): to process your payment.
  • Suppliers and logistics partners: the partners who prepare and deliver your order. To deliver it, we share the recipient’s name, shipping address and phone number with them and with the carrier.
  • Service providers: the companies that host our website and our email, only to run these services for us: Netlify, which hosts our website and passes us the details of each order (contact, delivery address, items) so we can process it, as well as newsletter sign-ups and back-in-stock requests, and Google for our mailbox. We also use an AI assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) to help us sort the emails we receive and prepare draft replies; every reply is checked and sent by a person. Umami counts visits to our website (see section 6).
  • Authorities: when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. International transfers

We serve customers around the world, so your information may be processed outside your country, including outside the European Union: by us, by some of our suppliers and logistics partners, and by our payment, email and hosting providers. Where the law requires it, we take appropriate steps to protect your information during these transfers.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website does not use advertising cookies. To understand how the website is used, we measure visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics service that does not use cookies and stores its data in the European Union: it counts pages viewed and a few actions (such as adding a piece to the bag or starting checkout), together with general information like the country, device type and the website you came from. It does not collect your name, email address or payment details, and we only see aggregated figures.

The website also uses your browser’s local storage to remember your bag and your country and currency. This is necessary for the website to work and stays on your device.

To display our fonts and icons, the website loads files from third-party services (Google Fonts and content delivery networks). When your browser loads these files, these services receive your IP address.

If we add marketing cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it and update this policy. You can also clear cookies and stored data in your browser settings.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes above: order records for the period required by accounting and tax law, customer service messages for as long as needed to handle your request and any dispute, reviews while they are published, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the data protection laws that apply to you (such as the GDPR in the European Union and the UK GDPR), you may have the right to:

  • access your personal information and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • ask us to delete your information;
  • object to or restrict certain uses;
  • withdraw your consent at any time, for example by unsubscribing from emails.

To use these rights, email us at contact.oryvanta@gmail.com. We will reply within the time required by law (one month under the GDPR). You can also complain to the data protection authority of your country (for example the CNIL in France).

9. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Payments are made on our payment provider’s secure pages. However, no online transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Children

Our store is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Other websites

Our website may link to other websites or services, such as PayPal or social networks. Their own privacy policies apply, and we encourage you to read them.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our store, our services or the law change. The new version will be published on this page with a new date.
